Peter likes to call himself a pathological optimist, someone hardwired to see possibility where others see uncertainty. He believes, with unwavering conviction, that companies can and should help build a brighter, bolder “Day After Tomorrow.” This belief runs through everything he does and is captured in his 2025 book The Uncertainty Principle, where he urges leaders to treat unpredictability not as a threat but as fuel for reinvention.

Before becoming an author and speaker, Peter spent more than fifteen years as a serial entrepreneur. His first start-up, e-COM, was acquired by Alcatel-Lucent; his second, Streamcase, by Belgacom; and his third, Porthus, went public before being acquired by Descartes. He later served as Entrepreneur in Residence at McKinsey, advising on digital strategy, and today leads nexxworks, a company designed to connect and inspire organizations to thrive in the fast-moving Never Normal.
